Val di Fiemme consists of fifteen characteristic villages, each of them with precise and varied characteristics. The mountains surrounding Val die Fiemme like the Lagorai mountain group, the Dolomites with the Pale di San Martino, and the Rosengarten - Latemar mountain group have been attracting tourists from all over the world for almost two centuries. They choose Val di Fiemme as their holiday destination in summer and winter.
The Paneveggio and Monte Corno nature parks enrich this wonderful and unique landscape of Val die Fiemme with more than 20,000 hectares of spruce and larch forests with more than 200 kilometres of forest roads, ideal for mountain-biking in summer or for snow-shoe hikes in winter. The red fir in Val di Fiemme is also worth a mention, the wood of which was already used by Stradivari for its unmistakable violins. Today, this wood is still being used for the production of pianos and other instruments.
