Cross-country skiing in Trentino

In winter in Val di Fiemme skiing fever explodes. The lure of the legendary Marcialonga attracts all the cross-country skiing fans and practitioners in Trentino. The Val di Fiemme, the cradle of skiing in the Alps, hosted the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 for the first time in Italy. The success achieved in that edition has meant that the valley has since been nominated several times as the venue of the World Cup.

In Val di Fiemme you will find a wide range of itineraries: the Passo Lavazè runs all together make a total of 50 kilometers in length, from 1,600 to 1,800 meters above sea level, and stay open until March or April; at the Centro del Fondo at Lake Tesero, where the World Championships are held; at Bellamonte, Predazzo, Ziano, to Masi di Cavalese and Molinda di Fiemme, not to mention the route of the Marcialonga, an international event that attracts athletes from all over the world.
