Cavalese
Hotel Cavalese
Cavalese is the chief town of Val di Fiemme with its 3,888 inhabitants. It stretches across a fluvial and glacial terrace which slopes slightly where the valley reaches its maximum width. Cavalese is where district-services (like the hospital for example) and the offices of the valley are located.
In winter it can offer its visitors numerous ski-lifts, especially in the skiing area of Alpe Cermis, as well as cross-country skiing at the bottom of the valley and in Lavazè Pass.
Summer visitors are offered a wide range of excursions and of walks. There are also other sports activities and organized cultural and social events. The old and artistic Bishop's Palace, which is the official seat to the
Magnificent General Community of Fiemme, is worth visiting.
